HSC Result 2026 Date and Time

The HSC and equivalent result 2026 will be published on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The formal launch is at 11:00 am at the International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha, Dhaka; as soon as it takes place, results go online and to institutions together.

The date moved once. On October 24 the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced Thursday, October 29. On October 27 its president, Professor Syed Akhteruzzaman, who also chairs the Dhaka board, confirmed the move to October 31 so the boards could make sure the results were accurate (bdnews24, October 27, 2026).

For comparison, last year’s HSC result came out on October 16, 2025. Treat any other 2026 date on social media as false unless your board’s website carries the same notice.

How to Check HSC Result 2026 Online

Open the official result website, choose HSC/Alim, the year 2026 and your board, type your roll and registration numbers, answer the small sum and press Submit. Keep your admit card and registration card with you before 11 am.

1. Go to educationboardresults.gov.bd. If it is slow, try eduboardresults.gov.bd, the education boards’ common result website.
2. Examination: choose HSC/Alim, the HSC and equivalent option.
3. Year: choose 2026.
4. Board: choose your board, for example Dhaka; Alim candidates choose Madrasah and vocational candidates choose Technical.
5. Roll and Registration: copy both exactly from your admit card and registration card.
6. Answer the security sum, for example 4 + 3 = 7, and press Submit.

Your result opens on the screen. Save it with your browser’s Print, then Save as PDF option, or take a screenshot; you will need it for admission forms. Colleges and madrasahs can download their full institution result with their EIIN; see how institution results work.

HSC Result 2026 by SMS

Type HSC, a space, the first three letters of your board, a space, your roll number, a space and 2026, then send it to 16140 from any mobile number. For example: HSC DHA 123456 2026.

The 16140 format comes from the boards’ 2026 HSC press release. As reported, that release gave no separate format for Alim or vocational candidates. At the SSC level in 2026 the Madrasah board used pre-registration (Dakhil MAD, roll and 2026, sent to 16222), so check your own board’s notice before you send anything.

Worked example: a Rajshahi board candidate with roll number 456789 types HSC RAJ 456789 2026 and sends it to 16140. Leave exactly one space between the parts and check the board code before you press send. You can also build the message with our SMS builder.

HSC Result 2026 with Marksheet

The online result is your provisional marksheet: it shows your GPA and your subject results under the grading scale below. Save it as a PDF; your college or madrasah gives you the official documents later.

Subject marks in numbers are a different matter. The boards’ web-based result system at eboardresults.com says it shows detailed marks only where they are available, so many students will see grades rather than marks. A website that promises every student an “HSC marksheet with number” before the release cannot know that yet.

HSC Pass Rate: 2025 by Board and 2026

In 2025, 58.83% of HSC and equivalent candidates passed across the 11 boards, down from 77.78% in 2024, and 69,097 got GPA-5, against 145,911 a year earlier (Prothom Alo, October 16, 2025). The Madrasah board had the highest pass rate, 75.61%, and Cumilla the lowest, 48.86%.

The 2026 column will be filled from the official release after the 11:00 am launch. In 2025, 1,251,111 candidates sat the exams; this year the figure is 1,270,583. Board-wise 2025 figures: Prothom Alo, October 16, 2025.

HSC Grading System

HSC results use the same 5-point scale as the other board exams: 80 marks or more is A+ (5.00), and below 33 is F (0.00).

GPA-5 means the top GPA of 5.00. Our Education Board Result guide covers the scale for every board exam.

HSC Re-scrutiny 2026

Applications to have HSC 2026 answer scripts re-evaluated will be taken online from November 1 to November 7, 2026. The boards will publish the method and instructions on their websites, according to the same press release.

• Apply only if you believe a paper was marked wrongly; re-scrutiny re-checks the script you wrote and is not a new exam.
• Keep your roll and registration numbers and your subject codes ready.
• Use only the method in your board’s notice and keep the confirmation you receive.
• The 2026 fee will be in that notice; do not go by last year’s amount.

If You Failed or Want to Improve Your Result

If a mark looks wrong, apply for re-scrutiny between November 1 and 7. If you failed a subject, the usual rule is to sit the exam again the following year, but a faster route is under discussion for 2026.

The education boards have told the Ministry of Education they can hold re-exams in failed subjects within three months for HSC 2026 candidates. As of October 13, 2026, the ministry had not decided, and the eligibility rules were still open (Prothom Alo, October 13, 2026). Wait for a notice on your board’s website before you plan around it.

If you passed, university and medical admission circulars usually follow the HSC result; read each one on the institution’s official website. If the result is not what you hoped for, talk to your college teachers before deciding anything; there is more than one way forward.
